Our Policy
These terms and conditions are in place for the safety, responsibility, and well-being of our clients. By making payment for our services, you are indicating your full agreement to these terms and conditions.
- Bookings for individual sessions will be confirmed via text or email if given, and full payment must be taken prior to the first appointment.
- Shaba K9 Dog Training holds full Public Liability insurance provided by specialist company Protectivity Insurance.
- As we may enter client property to assess dogs, Shaba K9 Dog Training ensures all employees have no criminal records and can provide DBS upon request.
- Shaba K9 Dog Training cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury, or damage to a person, dog, or property.
- Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs when in public spaces.
- Dogs must be under control and on a lead in public areas and off lead only when specifically instructed to by the trainer.
- Your trainer is there to help however, owners remain responsible for their dog at all times.
- Children are welcome to attend training sessions but for safety and consistency in training children under the age of 16 must remain under adult parent/ guardian supervision. Parents may wish to speak with their children prior to sessions to explain how important it is to listen when involved in the session.
- When training in public areas all dogs must be fully wormed and protected by vaccines and had a full health check by a vet.
- Any health problems must be stated at the time of booking and if likely to effect training we must receive a vet referral before commencing training with Shaba K9 Dog Training.
- All bite history must be declared at the time of booking.
- The Customer is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst dogs are in the care of Shaba K9 Dog Training.
- Full payment for Group Classes is due 48hrs before the Class date. This is non-refundable under all circumstances unless Shaba K9 Dog Training decides otherwise.
- Payments are required at the time of booking and will be sent via invoice. You will have 48 hours upon receiving your invoice to pay the full amount. Booking is not confirmed until payment, in full, has been made.
- If a cancellation is made for a training service with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will still be required to pay for the service. Cancellations are required to be made as soon as possible via telephone/email.
- Rescheduling of sessions can be made with a minimum of 48 hours notice at no extra cost.
- No Guarantee regarding the level of training achieved. The obedience training will be performed by a Certified Will Atherton’s accredited trainer and behaviourist and the Services will be performed with reasonable care and skill however (a) Shaba K9 Dog Training cannot guarantee the level of training that the K-9 will have achieved at the conclusion of the dog training services, as that is dependent on many factors including the K-9’s temperament, prior level of training, Owner’s disclosure of dog’s temperament prior to training and environmental circumstances; (b) Shaba K9 Dog Training cannot guarantee any level of success for behavioural modification; (c) the Certified Trainer will provided the Owner with guidance regarding how to reinforce the basic training it is then the Owner’s responsibility to consistently reinforce basic training and commands developed through Dog Training Services in order to maintain the goals achieved in the training program.
All sessions run between 8am and 8pm.
Shaba K9 Dog Training reserves the right to choose the clients it works with. We only work with clients that want to achieve the best results possible for both themselves and their dog. For this reason, clients must be open to the use of both positive and negative reinforcement. Every dog is different and therefore the use of different tools may be needed, this includes the use of slip leads, harnesses, flat collar, prong collar, longline, e-collar, dog backpack, crate, dog bed.
